Everything good within 20 miles
Yokal knows what your city is actually eating.
Independent restaurants, real dishes, and recommendations from people a few blocks away — not whoever paid for the top slot.

Nearby discovery
A 20-mile radius, and nothing outside it.
Yokal only shows what you can actually get to tonight. Search restaurants, search a specific dish, or open the map and see who is serving within twenty miles.
- Search dishes, not just places. Look up birria, a specific pasta, or another person on Yokal and Scrolls.
- Verified addresses on the map. Every approved restaurant has a real physical location you can navigate to.
- Open now, opening soon, closed. Hours you can trust before you get in the car.
- Menus down to the dish. Specials, new plates, and prices published by the restaurant itself.
The local feed
See where your neighbors are eating before you decide.
Check-ins, going-to-eat posts, reviews of whole restaurants and individual dishes, and deals straight from the kitchen — all from people inside your radius.
Heading to @nonnavera at 7. Third week in a row for the cacio e pepe and I have made peace with it.
@devon_k — order the agnolotti special, thank me later
Squash agnolotti at @nonnavera — brown butter, actual sage, not sweet. Best $24 in the neighborhood right now.
Aguachile verde is on until we run out — $12 through close. We got the good scallops this morning.

For restaurants
Yokal is curated. Restaurants apply, and we verify.
Every restaurant on Yokal has been reviewed and approved — which is exactly why locals trust the map. Applications are open to independent kitchens with a real address.
Apply
Tell us who you are, what you cook, and where you cook it. Independent kitchens, food halls, and family-run rooms all welcome.
Get verified
We confirm the physical address so your restaurant lands correctly on the local map and inside the radius that matters.
Publish & sell
Post your menu, dishes, specials, and limited-time deals — then take online orders paid through Cash App or Venmo.
What an approved account gets
- A published menu, dish by dish. Full menus, individual plates, prices, and the specials you are running tonight.
- Limited-time deals that post to the feed. Slow Tuesday? Push a deal and reach the people already nearby.
- Reviews on the room and the plate. Diners rate the restaurant and individual menu items, so good dishes get found.
- Online order payments. Connect Cash App, Venmo, or both and take orders directly.
Connected accounts
One local identity, connected through Scrolls.
Yokal runs on the Scrolls account ecosystem. If you are already on Scrolls, you are already on Yokal — and if you start on Yokal, your Scrolls profile comes with it.
- Sign in with Scrolls. Existing Scrolls users log into Yokal with the account they already have.
- New here? You get both. Creating a Yokal account creates your Scrolls account at the same time.
- Profiles stay in sync. Username, avatar, and bio carry across both apps automatically.
